Day 1: Marrakech to Dades Valley via Ait Benhaddou
Depart Marrakech early and cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Stop to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou, a historic kasbah often featured in films. Continue through Ouarzazate, the “Gateway to the Desert,” and arrive at Dades Valley for dinner and an overnight stay in a charming local riad.
Day 2: Dades Valley to Merzouga and Erg Chebbi Dunes
After breakfast, journey through the dramatic Todra Gorge, where you can take a short walk along the towering canyon walls. Continue to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. In the afternoon, embark on a camel trek across the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes, arriving at your luxury desert camp. Enjoy dinner, music around the campfire, and a magical night under the star-filled sky.
Day 3: Merzouga to Marrakech via N’Koub & Ouarzazate.
Wake up early to witness a spectacular desert sunrise. After breakfast, return by camel to Merzouga and begin the drive back to Marrakech, with scenic stops along the way.
